Taste and See
If you weren't so busy, working, trying to keep up with the daily grind...getting further behind,
trying to catch up with yourself most of the day before you fall asleep, hoping God understands the intent of your heart...
Wouldn't life be much different if you could live the way you know God intended life to be?Didn't God Himself say that we are to take time for rest?
When are we suppose to go away anywhere and take time to rest, you're thinking?Take heart, there's hope!
My husband and I won a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. While we were there, a friend shared a membership vacation opportunity with us.
This opportunity was presented to us as 100 years of vacationing. Sounded good, in light of the price. It cost less than one average vacation plan, and had a marketing plan attached enabling us to recover not only our initial investment, but set our own plan and work it or not. Our choice. Vacation or not. Our choice.
The kicker was ~ we had options, without a bunch of ridiculous time share fees, maintenance fees, upkeep, and hidden costs for the rest of time.
We couldn't believe it! A 100 year vacation plan with an incredibly reputable company ~ we can vacation every single week if we want ~ it is willable in our estate. And ~ if we told our friends about the same thing we bought...we got paid $1000 every time. No way! Yes, way! It happened just like they said it would.
We jumped in. Why not? Since we had friends who had heard about the same amazing plan, where they too could sign on for 100 years of endless luxury vacations, or however you choose to see travel options to countries around the world for as little as $298 a week for the rest of time...
If they were going to buy the package, we'd get paid back anyway in commissions. The initial package would be a "business deduction" and become part of our will-able estate...in which the government nor the IRS could take and redistribute at will. Win/win.
What happened then? You got it. We bought it! And then...
I took my two sister's to Cozumel, Mexico ~ peak season, Christmas time, 7 nights 8 days at a beautiful resort for only $298 for the week!
(You can read about our fun under our blog: "Three Sister's Vacation, November 8, 2007").
Imagine this type of work...the palm trees swaying, the sound of the ocean beaches lapping up on the warm white sandy beaches warming the bottom of your feet and between your toes as you enjoy a cool beverage of your choice, (with an umbrella in it of course). Beautiful sunsets that stand still long enough for the rays of sun to shine through reminding you that God speaks to us in many ways if we are still long enough to listen.
Eventually the silence is broken as you engage in conversation with new friends from around the world you meet lounging over succulent island delicacies hand prepared for resort guests. The conversation eventually winds around to sharing resort room rates. Here's where you can become a blessing!
While your new friend may well be paying "daily" what your entire week costs, would they love to share what you know about world travel?
With over 5000 time share properties in the inventory to choose from at any time, many of them "live weeks" or "hot weeks" to choose from, or even choosing a cruise option, there is always something more fun, adventuresome, and pleasing to God than stressing over how to make a buck.
If you prefer to wake up tense, be mad before dawn, and get all worked up in traffic, then go ahead!
Are you truly living? What kind of desire do you have to do more reading? Ever wanted to go anywhere special? Have any memories you would really like to make before you leave this earth?
Places you wanted to go with your family? Will you have regrets?
It's your life...today is a good day to begin living! Your choice!
Is there something your afraid of? Good! Me too. I'm afraid of missing the mark where my calling in life is concerned.
Take a look at a whole different way of living. It's free. Yes, looking is free too! But the lifestyle is totally free, and much different than the one your presently facing that most likely tastes like a steady diet of liver and onions.
Finally, as the Word says: "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God" (Phil. 4:6).
There is a better way to live, than with your nose to a grindstone. If it is God's will, some have found this to be an avenue that works. It may be right for you too. It certainly won't hurt to look it over, pray about it, and seek direction.
Maybe your interested in a long term investment that the "big boys" can't touch. Or...maybe your just interested in vacationing four and five star style at $300 prices.
